Hosted by the @mbgassoc with support from the Assiniboine Park Conservancy Education Team, Geocaching 101 Day at the Zoo is a great opportunity to learn about this fun, family-friendly activity. The event will begin in the Zoo Classroom with a brief introduction to geocaching, along with some tips and tricks of the game for beginners. Please feel free to sign the event log book as you check in, and pick up your challenge game sheet (available between 9 am and 11:30 am). Limited GPS units will be available for those who don't have one. Several new caches will be unveiled and made available for this event. Admission Admission or membership to the Assiniboine Park Zoo is required to participate in the Geocache Challenge. • A special program price is available for those who purchase their Zoo admission in advance online. This month I signed up to log 100km on my bike riding to and from school. In between rainy weather and the flu, I was worried that I wouldn't reach my goal but I made it! I also challenged the students of 5/6We to match my 100km with 100 bike rides. They blew it out of the park with a total of 144 round trips to and from school in June! I am so proud! Here's to a happy, healthy and active summer!
