Holiday Party

Amazing to think that this is the last week before our winter break!  It is a busy one ahead with many activities planned including, a trip by our choir to the Charleswood Senior's Centre, a trip to Walmart by some of our leadership students, a Family Life lesson, two Hour of Code sessions, a Science and Art integrated lesson and our Holiday Party!

Our holiday party this year is a busy one.  We will be starting the day with some students invited to read to our grade 1/2 students for a literacy block.  Upon their return, all of our students are invited to participate in a classroom gift/book exchange game.  Participation is optional.  Students who wish to participate should bring a $5 gift (wrapped) OR a gently-used book (wrapped).  During the game, we will be setting up our snack station for all to enjoy. In the afternoon, we will be watching the last installment of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi (Episode VI), as part of our study of the Hero Archetype.  This will be a great opportunity to refresh the memory of those students who plan to see The Force Awakens (Episode VII) over the holiday break.

The following students have signed up to bring snacks to enjoy during our morning gift exchange:

Veggies & Dip- Gabby
Desserts/Sweets- Sadie
Salty Treat- Chelsie
Cheese & Crackers- Elaina
Juice/Punch- Michael

Thank you for such a great term. Enjoy the busy week and Best Wishes for the Holidays!
